During Design has its origins in the creativity of Franco Durante and in his 40year-experience in the furniture industry: his family has been in this business since 1922, a long tradition that is still handed down from generation to generation. The passion for design and furnishing, stimulated by the frequent contacts with architects and designers, developed along with a great interest in the world of art, where he operates in abstract painting and sculpting. After long years of activity and continuous research, the desire to see many projects turned into reality got more intense and the help of his daughter Anna permitted the creation of DURING DESIGN. The fusion of knowledges in different fields as art and design results in the originality of our products, allowing us to offer you endless possibilities of compositions, in order for you to customize your furnishing by creating through your own imagination. We realize our interior designs by combining their functionality to the simplicity of forms, to have them match with the rest of your furniture and to allow you to choose any place of your house to accommodate them.

THE NAME

Choosing the name for a new activity is a real challenge. A latin statement says “nomen omen”: what can be better than our last name (DURANTE that is DURING in English)? So we chose DURING DESIGN, a design that is endless: this is our aim.
